i had to fuss at deep throat..who kept egging me on about the mundane..to the point that i almost forgot to honor the passing of one of our long time residents..our dear house mother..cliffie.
i remember summer evenings..hanging out near the pool..and listening to that wonderful southern accent..that voice would just seem to lull me..
it was longfellow who said..
When a great man dies, for years the light he leaves behind him, lies on the paths of men.
well..a great woman has passed from us..but the light she leaves behind..will lie on the paths of all of us who knew her..and our lives are better for knowing her.
mother..we will miss you for a long time..
